Volleyball Recap: Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls vs. South Iredell Vikings

Hickory Ridge lost against South Iredell back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls fell just short of the South Iredell Vikings by a score of 3-2. The Ragin' Bulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hickory Ridge was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made South Iredell work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-12, 24-26, 20-25, 15-11.

Even though they lost, Hickory Ridge was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Iredell only served six.

Morrison is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season. Hickory Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for South Iredell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

Hickory Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Porter Ridge on the 3rd. As for South Iredell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against A.L. Brown on the 3rd.
