Soccer Game Preview: Southern Nash vs. Fike

The Southern Nash Firebirds will head out on the road to challenge the Fike Golden Demons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Monday, Southern Nash didn't have quite enough to beat C.B. Aycock and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, Southern Nash can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 278th, while C.B. Aycock are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Fike came up short against Northern Nash on Monday and fell 3-1.

Fike's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-3. As for Southern Nash, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8-2.
