Softball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

The Clinton Dragons didn't have quite enough to beat the Mount Juliet Golden Bears on Saturday and fell 6-5.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8-1. As for Mount Juliet, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7-1 record this season.

Clinton will take on Anderson County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mavericks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight. Mount Juliet has already played their next contest (against Christian Academy of Knoxville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
