Volleyball Recap: Fairview Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Fairview had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Grove City Eagles 3-0 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Fairview might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Grove City scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.

Gianna Campoli paced Fairview's offense, picking up 12 kills. Campoli got some help from Gaelie Hynes and her 34 assists.

Grove City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairview will challenge Sharon at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grove City, they will square off against Wilmington at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
