Football Recap: Laguna Hills Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Laguna Hills extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-6. They were dealt a 42-13 loss at the hands of the La Habra Highlanders. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

As for La Habra, their record is now 6-3. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won five contests by 25 points or more so far this season.

DJ Mitchell produced another solid performance throwing for 320 yards and five TDs while picking up 16.0 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 38 yards. What's more, he racked up 139.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Blake (Blaze) Rogers, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Coming up, Laguna Hills will face off against Crean Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Saints have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. As for La Habra, they will square off against Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
