Volleyball Recap: Hiram Hornets vs. Paulding County Patriots

Hiram extended their losing streak to seven on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-25. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Paulding County Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

As for Paulding County, their win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-24. The game was the first time they have beaten Hiram on their court since August 11, 2022.

Paulding County had a senior duo take command as Isabella Hartline had 25 digs and Lillie Harris had 15 digs and four aces. Those 25 digs set a new season-high mark for Hartline.

Hiram didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Dalton on the 7th. As for Paulding County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against McEachern on the 9th.
