Volleyball Recap: Hiram Takes a Loss

Hiram lost against Paulding County back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2. Hornets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Patriots since Thursday.

Hiram took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 20-25, 18-25, 25-17, 15-11.

Hiram has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season. As for Paulding County, the win snapped their losing streak at 12 matches and leaves them with a 11-24 record.

As of now, neither Hiram nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
