Volleyball Game Preview: Pioneer Charter School of Science Panthers vs. Salem Academy Charter Navigator

The Pioneer Charter School of Science Panthers will take on the Salem Academy Charter Navigator at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem Academy Charter took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pioneer Charter School of Science, who comes in off a win.

Pioneer Charter School of Science will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Innovation Academy, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Red Tailed Hawk on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

While Pioneer Charter School of Science might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Innovation Academy scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Olivia Costa was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 24 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hanaan Minyaoui, who had six digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Salem Academy Charter came up short against Salem on Friday, falling 3-0. The Navigator have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-12.

Pioneer Charter School of Science's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Salem Academy Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Pioneer Charter School of Science beat Salem Academy Charter 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Navigator have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
