Poudre proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Niwot Cougars 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Impalas, who have now won seven matches in a row.

Poudre had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 26-28, 25-21, 25-22, 15-9.

Poudre's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. As for Niwot, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Poudre will take on Vail Christian in a tournament on Saturday. As for Niwot, they will welcome Greeley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
