Cheraw dropped down to 13-16 on Thursday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They came up short against the East Clarendon Wolverines, falling 15-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in March.

Nick Gordon was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

As for East Clarendon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. The result was nothing new for East Clarendon, who have now won 14 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

On East Clarendon's side, Wes Springs was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits Springs has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Crosby Timmons, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

As of now, neither Cheraw nor East Clarendon have any future games scheduled.
