While Union Academy's win against Parkwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals skirted past the Wolf Pack 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Union Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Parkwood into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 19-25, 20-25, 18-16.

Union Academy's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landry Carson, who had eight digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Kylie Harman, who had 15 digs.

They weren't the only good server: Union Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Union Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Parkwood, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Union Academy will take on Bradford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkwood, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against South Stanly on the 18th.
