Recap: School Without Walls Penguins vs. Bell Griffins
There's no place like home for the School Without Walls Penguins, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 57-47 win over Bell on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as School Without Walls also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
School Without Walls was led to victory by Paul Joire and Isaac Wallsten. Joire dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Wallsten dropped a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wallsten has scored all season. Chidiire Nwokwu was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
School Without Walls now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Bell, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. School Without Walls will challenge the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bard has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 3. As for Bell, they will head out on the road to challenge the Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in District of Columbia (Eastern is ranked 18th, while the Griffins are ranked 33rd).
