Softball Game Preview: Copley Indians vs. Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers

The Copley Indians will take on the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Copley has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Copley's last matchup with Tallmadge could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Wednesday. The Indians came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 17-4. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Cuyahoga Falls didn't have quite enough to beat Coventry on Friday and fell 13-12. Even though they lost, the Black Tigers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Madi Davis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ireland Mills, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Cuyahoga Falls dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Copley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Copley took their victory against Cuyahoga Falls in their previous matchup last Wednesday by a conclusive 16-2 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Black Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
