Soccer Game Preview: Pagosa Springs vs. Del Norte

The Pagosa Springs Pirates will face off against the Del Norte Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pagosa Springs managed to keep up with Montezuma-Cortez until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Panthers. Pagosa Springs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Del Norte took on Ignacio in their season opener and it was just the start the team was looking for. The Tigers blew past the Bobcats 10-0 two weeks ago. Emma Parra was a massive factor in the win as she booted in six goals all by herself.

Pagosa Springs now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Del Norte, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything went Pagosa Springs' way against Del Norte in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Pagosa Springs made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
