Basketball Recap: Hale Center Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bovina last Friday, Hale Center came back down to earth. The Hale Center Owls received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 60-42 to the Olton Mustangs. The Owls were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 53-50.

Hale Center's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Olton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

Hale Center and Olton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Hale Center will take on Lockney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 963 places (416 vs. 1379). Similarly, Olton (ranked 291st) will meet Sudan (ranked 1078th) at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
