Hancock waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the West Harrison Hurricanes. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 1-0 victory on Friday.
Chace Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Roston Ragon was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Ulrich, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Hancock hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matches.
