Baseball Recap: Sparrows Point Comes Up Short

If Sparrows Point was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Pikesville two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pointers fell just short of the Catonsville Comets by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Pointers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Comets earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

Sparrows Point's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Catonsville, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Coincidentally, Sparrows Point and Catonsville will both be playing Loch Raven the next time they take the field. The Comets will head out to face the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Pointers will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
