The Legacy Christian Academy Eagles will face off against the Ursuline Academy Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Legacy Christian Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They blew past Fort Worth Country Day 10-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Abby Ashbrook made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lynlee Kennedy, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Maddy Bertsch, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Legacy Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Worth Country Day only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, Ursuline Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Prestonwood Christian on Friday and fell 4-3.
Like Legacy Christian Academy, Ursuline Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Leah Drake. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Drake has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Tatum Kruetz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Anna Breen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Legacy Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. Ursuline Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Legacy Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. However, it's not like Ursuline Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .452. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
