Basketball Recap: Scholars Guild Academy Comes Up Short

Scholars Guild Academy played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 64-38 to the Fideles Christian Rangers. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Fideles Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xander Lipinski, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. Lipinski's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Blackstock, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 16 points.

Scholars Guild Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Fideles Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-12.

Scholars Guild Academy will take on Georgia Force Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fideles Christian, they will challenge Lanier Christian Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lanier Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 contests.
