Soccer Game Preview: Downey vs. Modesto

The Downey Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Modesto Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Downey's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, Downey and Enochs finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Modesto's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 2-0 to Pitman. Modesto have struggled against Pitman recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Modesto's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-4. Downey's draw makes their record 7-4-2 this season.
