Ernie Powers Turns in Season-Best Performance
Franklin was led to victory by Ernie Powers, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Powers rushed for 316 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 71 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 138 or more in the last four games he's played.
Franklin pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Powers and Franklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Socorro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Zereian Quarles continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game with at least 127 rushing yards. He rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 50 yards.

Montwood's probably not too fond of Jaramillo given he always seems to get the better of them. When Jaramillo last faced the Rams back in October of 2023, he made 17 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Chris Garcia Makes It Two for Eastlake
Another Eastlake player making an appearance on this list is Chris Garcia. He picked up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 71 yards.
