Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Chieftains are ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 57-33 to Lakeview.

Brookings-Harbor is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Brookings-Harbor came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Mary's in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 40-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookings-Harbor since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
