On Friday South Rowan will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They will venture away from home to face off against the Carson Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Carson took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on South Rowan, who comes in off a win.
South Rowan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on East Rowan with a sharp 33-7 victory on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.
Bryson Frieze had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns. Those 127 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marshal Faw, who picked up 112 receiving yards and a touchdown.
South Rowan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Zach Barham led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Cameron Barth also set a new season high mark in total tackles with seven.
Meanwhile, Carson came up short against Central Cabarrus on Friday and fell 23-14.
Although Carson took the loss, they still got scores from Jacob Rockwell and Travis Sharkey.
