Vega fell victim to Bovina and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Mustangs 30-0. The Longhorns' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Vega's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Bovina, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Vega does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bovina, they will take on Hale Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Owls will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
