Basketball Game Preview: Madill Wildcats vs. Kingston Redskins

The Madill Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Kingston Redskins at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Madill turned things around against Byng on Tuesday. They skirted past the Pirates 54-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since December 5, 2023.

Meanwhile, Kingston came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors, sneaking past 53-50.

Madill's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Kingston, they are also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Madill lost to Kingston on the road by a decisive 64-48 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Madill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
