New Palestine has gone a perfect 10-0 against Delta recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dragons will challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. New Palestine is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

New Palestine's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They really took it to New Castle for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-0 win. Fans of the Dragons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

New Palestine can attribute much of their success to Mason Oglesby, who gained 149 total yards and a touchdown, and Jacob Davis, who threw for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 88 yards. Cameron Rollyson also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Meanwhile, Delta scored first but ultimately less than Greenfield-Central in their game on Friday. They took a 24-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

New Palestine will have to contain Aven Thomas as he made an impact in Delta's last game. He rushed for 108 yards and two scores. Thomas has become a key player for Delta: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.

Delta's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for New Palestine, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Everything came up roses for New Palestine against Delta when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 38-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
