Overland won the last time they faced Cherokee Trail, and Siraaj Ali did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Overland Trailblazers' way against the Cherokee Trail Cougars on Friday as the Overland Trailblazers made off with a 72-47 victory thanks in part to Ali, who went 6-for-10 en route to 21 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.6% shooting accuracy.

Another player making a difference was Dontae Graham, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. He is becoming a predictor of Overland's success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is 2-1 (and 6-10 when he doesn't).

Cherokee Trail's loss came despite strong showings from Jake Scott and Jordan Mitchell. Scott posted 14 points, while Mitchell went 5-for-11 to rack up 14 points. Demarcues Harris also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Overland pushed their record up to 8-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points over those games. As for Cherokee Trail, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Overland has already played their next match, a 64-54 defeat against Smoky Hill on the 12th. As for Cherokee Trail, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-50 loss against Mullen on the 12th.
