Cahokia extends road losing streak to 11

Recap: Cahokia Comanches vs. Belleville East Lancers

The Cahokia Comanches's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight defeat. They were dealt a 59-31 loss at the hands of Belleville East. Cahokia has not had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Cahokia saw an underclassman step up: Donald Collier dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Corrion Raiford was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Cahokia's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Belleville East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Cahokia will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Vernon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Comanches in Illinois (the Rams are ranked 42nd, while the Comanches are ranked 489th). As for Belleville East, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m.
