Recap: Frankton Eagles vs. Wapahani Raiders
The Frankton Eagles's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 57-48 victory over Wapahani. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Frankton also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Wapahani lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zoey Swallow, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Destiny Felder, who scored 14 points.
Wapahani struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Frankton pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for Wapahani, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Frankton will head out on the road to face off against Oak Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Oak Hill's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Frankton's offense will have their work cut out for Frankton. As for Wapahani, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cowan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cowan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
