Volleyball Recap: Humphrey-Lindsay Starts Season with Victory Against Bancroft-Rosalie

Humphrey-Lindsay gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 24-26, 26-24, 25-14.

Humphrey-Lindsay's offense was headlined by Hallie Reichmuth and Khloe Hooker, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They were helped by Autumn Fittje and Savanna Koss, who contributed 20 assists each. Aydan Hake controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

When it comes to explaining why Bancroft-Rosalie lost, don't look at Leah Beaudette. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and one assist. Jaylynn James was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

Coming up, Humphrey-Lindsay will square off against Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Tuesday. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they will challenge Tekamah-Herman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
