Softball Recap: King Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for King's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Carroll Tigers on Tuesday. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 16-4 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

King's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Carroll, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Looking ahead, King will face off against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Carroll, they will challenge Corpus Christi Moody at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Carroll also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 9.2 runs per game.
