Basketball Recap: Jay Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

If Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Jay, they should've done a better job of containing Adyson Adams. The Jay Royals enjoyed a cozy 65-49 win over the Central Jaguars on Thursday thanks in part to Adams, who posted 17 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Sophia Harold, who earned 13 points and four steals. Harold has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Boutwell, who had 16 points and three steals.

Jay pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.

Jay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central has also already played their next game, a 59-38 win against Chipley on the 31st.
