Football Recap: Mountain View Falls Despite Big Games from Dara Esamagu and Sean Forbes + How To Watch

Mountain View lost against Lanier back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears came up short against the Longhorns, falling 27-7.

Despite the loss, Mountain View had strong showings from Sean Forbes, who rushed for 88 yards on only 11 carries, and Dara Esamagu, who rushed for 47 yards.

Ben Vanden Bos was nothing short of spectacular for Lanier: he rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also caught one score. What's more, Vanden Bos racked up 81.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lanier, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will welcome Seckinger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lanier, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Forsyth at 7:30 p.m.
