Recap: Moorcroft Wolves vs. Big Horn Rams
The Moorcroft Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Big Horn. Moorcroft was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Big Horn apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Moorcroft's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Natalee Scribner, who scored 16 points along with three steals, and Liberty Cook who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scribner has scored all season. Another player making a difference was London Mccrea, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Moorcroft's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-15. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.4 points per game. As for Big Horn, their victory bumped their record up to 5-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moorcroft will take on Sundance at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Big Horn, they will be playing at home against Greybull at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
