Jaxen Mccuistion leads a balanced attack to beat East

Recap: Timpanogos Timberwolves vs. East Leopards

Even though the East Leopards scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, the Timpanogos Timberwolves still came out on top. Timpanogos snuck past East with a 68-62 victory. For Timpanogos, this counts as revenge for the 76-67 loss East walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timpanogos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxen Mccuistion, who scored 19 points. The matchup was Mccuistion's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jack Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six assists.

East lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sawyer Sutton, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The match was Sutton's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell Christensen, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.

Timpanogos' win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for East, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Timpanogos won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Juan Diego Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Juan Diego Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59 points per game.
