Volleyball Recap: Wilson Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Wilson Christian Academy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs, falling 3-0.

Wilson Christian Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13, 25-14.

Wake Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evann Curry led the charge by getting ten assists and six digs. Those ten assists gave Curry a new career-high.

Wilson Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Wake Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Wilson Christian Academy will head out to challenge Scotland Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Grace Christian at 6:15 p.m.
