Basketball Game Preview: Magruder Colonels vs. Sherwood Warriors

The Magruder Colonels will head out on the road to take on the Sherwood Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magruder has given up an average of 60.8 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Magruder is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Watkins Mill by a score of 76-66.

Meanwhile, Sherwood entered their tilt with Rockville on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 70-55 win over the Rams. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Rams are ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Magruder's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Sherwood, their win bumped their record up to 21-2.

Magruder suffered a grim 79-54 defeat to Sherwood in their previous meeting last Friday. Can Magruder avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
