Volleyball Recap: Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers vs. Barry Western Wildcats
Greenfield/Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of the Barry Western Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Greenfield/Northwestern actually scored more points across those three sets (71-67), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 15-25, 25-21.
Barry Western was led to victory by Loryn White and Macy Oitker. White had 13 digs, while Oitker had nine digs and three aces. The dominant performance gave Oitker a new career-high in aces.
Greenfield/Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Barry Western, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-16.
