Football Game Preview: Hampton Hornets vs. Eagle's Landing Eagles + How To Watch

The Hampton Hornets will challenge the Eagle's Landing Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Hampton barely beat Union Grove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets blew past the Wolverines 35-10 on Friday. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Hampton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristan Parks led the charge by throwing for 260 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes. That's the most passing yards Parks has posted since back in October of 2024. Gavin Aiken was Parks' top target, picking up 95 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also punching in one rushing score.

Meanwhile, Eagle's Landing hadn't done well against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles took down the Chargers 34-20. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Eagles' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Hampton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.8 points over those games. As for Eagle's Landing, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
