Jackson Prep faced Jackson Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots walked away with a 5-2 win over the Raiders. Surprisingly, this marked the Patriots' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Kevin Roberts, JR was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Jackson Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-13-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-12 record this season.
