Eaton and Monroe are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Eagles will square off against the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Eaton turned things around against Archbishop Alter on Wednesday. They skirted past the Knights 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 22nd.

Meanwhile, Monroe had just enough and edged out Talawanda 7-6 on Wednesday.

Monroe has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eaton, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Eaton came up short against Monroe when the teams last played back in May of 2023, falling 6-2. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
