Baseball Recap: Hampton Bays Comes Up Short

Hampton Bays lost against Smithtown Christian back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Baymen lost 12-1 to the Knights. The contest marked the Baymen's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Seamus Smith * made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and earned one run and four stolen bases. Smith * is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Hampton Bays and nudges their season record down to 9-9. As for Smithtown Christian, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

While Hampton Bays had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
