Soccer Game Preview: Concord vs. Miramonte

Concord and Miramonte are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2017, but likely not for long. The Concord Bears will welcome the Miramonte Matadors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Concord fell victim to Ygnacio Valley and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of Wolves by a score of 1-0. The Bears haven't had much luck with Wolves recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Miramonte also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Antioch by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Concord's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3-2. As for Miramonte, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-3.

Concord was able to grind out a solid victory over Miramonte when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 3-1. Will Concord repeat their success, or does Miramonte have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
