Baseball Game Preview: Tuscarawas Valley Trojans vs. Alliance Aviators

The Tuscarawas Valley Trojans will head out to take on the Alliance Aviators at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Tuscarawas Valley will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Garaway, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans skirted past the Pirates 5-4.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Alliance, as they earned their first away win of the season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand West Branch a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Aviators haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to DiAngelo Fisk's shutout, as he gave up just five hits.

At the plate, Alliance saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady White, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases White has posted since back in May of 2024.

Tuscarawas Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Alliance, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 8-4.
