Spring Hill barely beat Carthage the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 7-1 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Spring Hill has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Carthage, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Spring Hill is set to face off against their familiar foe Kilgore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Carthage will take on rival Pine Tree at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
