Preview: Northeast Dubois Jeeps vs. Perry Central Commodores
The Northeast Dubois Jeeps will be playing in front of their home fans against the Perry Central Commodores at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northeast Dubois focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Northeast Dubois, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-47 loss to Barr-Reeve. While losing is never fun, Northeast Dubois can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Barr-Reeve is ranked 79th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Drew Schroering, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Goller, who scored 12 points along with two blocks.
Perry Central can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Crawford County by a score of 60-50.
Northeast Dubois has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Perry Central, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.
Northeast Dubois strolled past Perry Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 56-41. Will Northeast Dubois repeat their success, or does Perry Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
