Basketball Recap: Cypress Lake Takes a Loss

Cypress Lake lost against Fort Myers back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cypress Lake Panthers took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Myers Green Wave. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Cypress Lake's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Fort Myers, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

Cypress Lake and Fort Myers could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Cypress Lake (ranked 654th) will meet Cape Coral (ranked 240th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fort Myers will take on Charlotte at 8:00 p.m. on Friday down 470 places (558 vs. 88).
