Football Recap: Lawrence Kanneh Leads Whitehall-Yearling's Defense on Friday

Whitehall-Yearling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Columbus Academy Vikings on the road by a 20-6 margin. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of D'Andre Fiffer, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Whitehall-Yearling's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Lawrence Kanneh with two. He is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Whitehall-Yearling's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Columbus Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

As of now, neither Whitehall-Yearling nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
