Lone Oak made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Winnsboro, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Lone Oak Buffaloes' way against the Winnsboro Raiders on Friday as the Lone Oak Buffaloes made off with a 7-1 victory. The Buffaloes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Lone Oak has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. Winnsboro moved to 7-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Lone Oak will face off against Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mount Vernon comes in on four and Lone Oak on five. As for Winnsboro, they will welcome Prairiland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairiland has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.4 runs per game on average), something Winnsboro will no doubt try to take advantage of.
