Softball Game Preview: Edgewater Eagles vs. Windermere Wolverines

Edgewater hasn't had much luck against Windermere recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will head out to take on the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. Edgewater has given up an average of 18.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Edgewater is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against West Orange on Monday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 15 runs.

East Ridge hit Windermere with a six-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolverines lost 10-0 to the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolverines have suffered against the Knights since February 21, 2019.

Windermere's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Edgewater, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Edgewater might still be hurting after the 22-2 defeat they got from Windermere in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
