Basketball Recap: Xavier Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Xavier and Glastonbury squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Xavier had to settle for second. They fell to the Glastonbury Guardians 55-49. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Guardians are ranked 13th).

Xavier dropped their record down to 8-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Glastonbury, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.

Xavier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glastonbury, they will challenge West Haven at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
